These type of window settings are great for home who wanted a more country and natural look. The color of the woven shades and the design conveys a classic feel to any home that uses them.

In terms of types of woven shades being used, there are a couple of varieties including grass, bamboo and rattan. Each type of wood has its pros and cons. Bamboo woven shades for example is more suitable for outdoor use as they can more weather resistant. Grass on the other hand, has a much finer grain and as a result, more people want them to be displayed in a internal setting.

Woven shades come in a variety of different models. There are the roman woven shades. They come in horizontal slants that folded upward like pleats when not in use. Roller shades on the other hand has a rolling mechanism built into the blinds.

You simply use a cord to pull them up or down and they will move accordingly. For people who want a much darker room, you can opt for the blackout version of woven shades. These type of blinds can be closed more completely, hence shutting out the lights and darkening the room.

The disadvantage of woven shades is the cleaning. Due to the way it is made with interwoven fabric, there are tiny crevices where the dust can gathered in. If not clean, they will not be healthy for the family. Unfortunately, due to the small opening, cleaning them will take quite a bit of effort as you need to use a small cleaning stick to clear out all the trapped dust that have gathered in the small crevices.

Nevertheless, woven shades is still a solid consideration for home buyers who wants  a timeless and classic window shade.
