Type

Common Rails are the most economical and very easy to install and no maintenance required. This is used in ordinary home curtains and draperies. Corded Rails on the other hand reminds us of theater curtails which you pull cords to open and close the curtains.

This is best for heavy curtain material or those with very high ceilings. Motorized rails are the most modern way of opening and closing curtains and blinds using a motor. Tension curtain rods are one of those great design innovations that have made decorating easier for both the professional and home do-it-yourself enthusiast. They are extremely easy to install. Best used with shorter curtains, these rods work perfectly for rooms with limited window frame space and where drilling holes is difficult due to metal hurricane bracing and steel frames.

Tension rods are made with a spring in the center of the rod which, when secured into place, forces tension on both sides of the rod, forcing it outward. The end caps are made of rubber, to diminish marking walls and window frames when used.

To install these curtain rods, simply unscrew the center of the rod, fit it snuggly in the window, and then secure the screw again. Once the screw is secured into place, you will be able to gently remove the rod by applying pressure inward from both sides, which will give you enough tension release to remove the rod. There are a few things about kitchen curtains that make them unique and different than other types of curtains in your home.  For one thing, the materials that you find curtains for your kitchen curtains may be made of material more suitable to that environment.
